seniority within the 7th Infantry division

Why does the 7th ID have ranks?

We provide an enlisted and an officer ranking structure to provide a challenge to our members. Although respect to officers is expected, and there are customs to be followed, the ranking structure is not designed so that anyone can boss you around. It's in place to give seniority to members, and to provide smooth operating for the 7th ID.

How do I advance

Not easily. Nothing is handed to you in 7th ID. In return for your hard work in Missions, and your dedication to the unit, you become eligable for promotion through the ranks. Officers are promoted based on the need at the time, and the best applicant for the position. The enlisted ranks are based on eligability (see below). Of course, anyone can be promoted to anything with a waiver (majority vote from the command staff).

                              Private - Entry level (given when you join)

                           Private 2 - Given when completed basic training

           Private First Flass - 1 month of time in grade or top performer of basic training class

                          Specialist - 2 months time in grade

                            Corporal - 3 Months in grade 

                             Sargent - 4 Months in grade and completion of BNOC

                   Stafff Sargent - 5 Months in grade

          Sargent First Class - 6 Months in grade or completion of Special forces School

                Master Sargent - 7 Months in grade

                    First Sargent - Have to aleast be a Staff Sargent and rcommended by your CO. and approved by the Command staff

                  Sargent Major - Have made the rank of Master Sargent and appointed by the Command staff

Command Sargent Major - Have made the rank of Sargent Major and be appointed by the Command staff

Pilot ranks

The Positions of pilots are not given easly and are few positions. You have to prove that you are the best pilot out there and show that you are dedicated.  If you prove yourself then you will be awarded a Commission or a Warrant.  The pilot ranks are as Followed.

 

Fixed Wing

      2nd Lt. - Transport Pilot

      1st Lt.  - Fighter Pilot

 

Helicopters

      Warrant Officer 1- 2 - Transport helicopter

      Warrant Officer 3 -4 - Attack Helicoper

      Chief Warrant Officer - Helicopter Instructor
